kentucky was forcibly removed from a united airline's flight sunday night from chicago to louisville to make room for united airline employees who needed the seats. >> it's tuesday night and the big story on "action news" is the continuing fallout from disturbing events onboard 4211 at chicago o'hare. the passenger is 69-year-old medical doctor david dow. he is now in hospital being treated for injuries from being dragged off the plane. turns out dow was convicted of prescribing drugs to a person he was sexually involved. tonight we reached out to dow to resolve the situation. annie mccormick is live at

philadelphia international. the public has been waiting for united to give this man an apology. the company ceo seemed to make a better effort today. >> jim, that's right. the ceo changed his tuned to calling this a truly horrific event and vowing to make changes as lawmakers ask for changes across the industry and they are asking united for answers. >> outrage continues over this video of a united airline customer dragged out ofts seat screaming and left bloody. some flyers say it's all people are talking about. >> did you see the united thing? yes, i did. we agreed it was outrageous. >> according to united airlines, employees on an express flight called for four people to give up their seats because the flight crew needed the seats.

they were offered money but there were no takers. they picked four people at random but this pea passenger refused. united said the customer was disrupt i have and belligerent. then today they said it's never too late to do the wrong thing. we are going to fix what's broken so this never happens again. >> when we as citizens step on a plane we don't automatically lose our rights as citizens. >> brendan boyle called for an investigation. ten senators ordered united to investigate best practices as to how this could happen by a person cleared by the ts and with a purchased ticket.

the city expects to have water flowing again by tomorrow evening's rush hour. it happened on the 72nd street of rodney street. a gunman fired at a late model jaguar hitting the driver twice while the driver was stopped at a stop sign. dann cuellar is at einstein medical center. what are the details? >> the nice weather brought people out to engage in all sorts of activities. one guy thought it was a good day to shoot someone driving a car that he was having a beef with on a nice street while a number of people were out and about. >> the dramatic scene, a 2011 jaguar crashed head on into a tree after the 23-year-old driver was struck by gunfire. a woman in the passenger seat says a man suddenly jumped in front of the car and started

shooting. >> bullets were striking the vehicle she was in. she immediately ducked down and wasn't able to give us more information. >> the driver was struck several times and taken to einstein medical center. the woman passenger was not struck. >> it's almost miraculous that the female in the front passenger seat wasn't struck by gunfire. >> at least 12 shots were fired some of the bullets striking parked vehicles, shatting the window of a silver suv that had a bible on the dashboard and sign that read "member of the clergy." >> we are fortunate in that regard that no one else was struck by gunfire knowing that in this quiet neighborhood more than likely there were many

cosby trial begins may 22nd in pittsburg. cosby's attorneys argued it's too hard to find unbiased jurors in this area because of the all of the publicity the case has gotten. they'll come to norristown for the trial itself set to begin june 5th. the jurors will be scwessed for what could be a two week trial. a philadelphia juror acquitted a detective accused of breaking a man's leg with a kick. 44-year-old adam o'donnell wants his old job back. he served nine years before his arrest. >> white house press secretary sean spicer ignited a fire storm as he tried to paint syrian president asaad as worse than
